Growing up in a sailing family, he spent his early years cruising the East Coast of the United States more specifically Block Island Sound and the Maine Coast. His love for sailing deepened in college, where he began racing and honed his skills in dinghy sailing. After college, Scott joined the Living Classroom Foundation in Baltimore, initially as a volunteer and later as an employee. There, he taught sailing to inner-city youth, assisted with the boat-building program, and met his wife, Alex, with whom he has shared 20 plus wonderful years.
In 1998, Scott returned to Maine in the United States to start his professional career in the yachting industry with Sun Yacht Charters as a Charter Sales Agent. His career progressed as he moved to Portland, Maine, to become the Crewed Yacht Supervisor for Stardust Yacht Charters. He then spent seven years in Tortola in the British Virgin Islands as the Caribbean Yacht Sales Manager for Sunsail Yacht Charters, followed by seven years in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, as the Global Sales Manager for Leopard Catamarans. In 2015 Scott moved back to Maine in the United States to spend more time with his family and to develop a strong local business with a focus on working with induvial customer on building, buying, selling and navigating the yacht marketplace.
Throughout his career, Scott has gained extensive knowledge of the marine industry. He has represented leading manufacturers, collaborated on build projects globally, and worked with top designers, building a vast network of industry contacts. Most importantly to Scott though, is all of this has been accomplished with a focus on the relationship and trust that he has built with his teams, partners and first and foremost his customers.
